Building for the Future

Totton & Eling Tennis Centre's curriculum coaching programme currently covers 1 pre-school, 9 infant schools, 5 junior schools, 4 secondary schools and a tertiary college in the Totton & Waterside. We provide around 2500 children with curriculum-time coaching, competition and after-school clubs every year.

Since March 2006, the world's third largest chemical company INEOS has sponsored our curriculum-coaching programme. INEOS provide funds to meet the shortfall left after the schools have paid a contribution towards the coaching delivery costs. Other elements that INEOS support include the adminsitrative and organisational costs of running this massive programme as well as equipment for every school. We are very thankful to INEOS for their support.

We also provide free events for local schools such as taster days for specific year groups and tournaments involving the whole school. With roadshows and provision of coaches in the playground during lunchtimes, we are totally committed to providing tennis opportunities for local children.

We have strong links with local secondary schools such as Testwood Specialist Sports College and Applemore College and provide coaching for pupils both at the school and based at the centre. Our relationship with the local tertiary college, Totton College is very strong.

During the Summer months, we provide a large amount of schools competition.
