Future Vision - Facility Development

Future Tennis Development at Fleming Park

Together with the Hampshire & IOW LTA, DC Leisure, Eastleigh Borough Council & Toynbee School Sports Partnership, we are working to develop a 10-year vision for developing tennis at Fleming Park.

Short-Term Vision
  •  Establish and consolidate thriving junior development programme
  •  Create strong relationships within School-Sports Partnership and with local infant / primary / secondary schools
  •  Offer a wide variety of coaching, from Mini Tennis Red in the main hall to adult beginner coaching outdoors
  •  Create "tennis identity" for the outdoor courts, including windbreaks, banners, viewing area and secure gating system
  •  Offer "Tennis Club" opportunities such as membership, mix-ins, etc.
  •  Establish Fleming Park as Hamsphire's leading Mini Tennis Red tournament venue
  •  Create thriving competition programme, including internal leagues and open tournaments
Medium-Term Vision
  •  Facility Development Plan to include 4 extra floodlit courts and a sheltered area neighbouring the courts
  •  Fleming Park Tennis Cetre to take over full management of the outdoor courts
  •  Link Fleming Park Tennis Centre to satellite operations in Eastleigh, e.g. "Bishopstoke Tennis @ The Hub"
Long-Term Vision
  •  Investigate addition of dedicated indoor tennis courts
  •  Establish dedicated clubhouse
