Sport Relief Day
15 Fleming Park Tennis Centre members took part in a 12-hour Tennis-a-Thon on Sunday 21st April raising over £1200 for Sport Relief. Congratulations to all who took part!

4 New Courts
The Fleming Park Tennis Centre is soon to receive 4 brand new floodlit courts. As a result of a partnership between the centre, Eastleigh Borough Council, DC Leisure and the Lawn Tennis Association, the new courts and an accompanying viewing gallery will be complete by Spring 2010. This is an incredibly exciting time for the facility and will allow further development of the community tennis concept. All areas will continue to operate as usual during the development and once complete, we look forward to offering enhanced coaching programmes, membership and club activities.
New Clubhouse Facility
The Fleming Park Tennis Centre now has a temporary portacabin clubhouse. The facility overlooks the courts and allows the programme to continue its evolution of the past few years. The presence of an indoor area enhances the facility in many ways: providing coaching groups with shelter during poor weather; allowing teams to sit together socially after matches; giving parents a central location to relax whilst their children receive coaching; providing noticeboard space for upcoming events, leagues, etc.; allowing members who attend the mix-in to wait off in a comfortable area; allow an enhanced programme of activities including tournanents and holidays groups; and much more.
Inter-Schools Tournaments
In June 2009, the Fleming Park Tennis Centre hosted a number of inter-school tennis tournaments in association with the Toynbee School-Sport Partnership:
Year 3
Winner - Adam Goodall
Year 4
Winner - Liam Doyle
Year 5
Winner - Matthew Robson
Year 6

British Tennis Membership
All of our members are entitled to a free subscription to British Tennis, the LTA's new membership scheme. This scheme will supercede all existing memberships, including Advantage Club, and thus every single Totton & Eling member should sign up whether currently an LTA subscriber or not. The form takes less than 30 seconds to fill out. In the future LTA benefits such as Wimbledon Ticket ballots will only be open to British Tennis members, therefore, it really is worth signing up. And don't forget that it is totally free!
Further details and an online sign up form can be found here.
